By accessing or using the Southern Passages Expeditions website (southernpassages.co.nz) or enquiring about our programmes, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.

2. Our services

Southern Passages Expeditions Limited provides offshore sailing courses, blue-water expeditions, corporate sailing programmes, and school programmes operating primarily from Lyttelton, New Zealand. All programmes are subject to availability, weather conditions, and vessel readiness.

3. Bookings and payments

All bookings are subject to confirmation by Southern Passages Expeditions. Pricing displayed on this website is indicative and subject to change. Full booking terms, deposit requirements, and payment schedules will be provided at the time of booking confirmation.

Courses and expeditions listed as "coming 2026/27" are not yet open for booking. Registering interest does not constitute a booking or payment obligation.

4. Cancellations and refunds

Cancellation and refund terms will be specified in your booking confirmation. Southern Passages Expeditions reserves the right to cancel or reschedule programmes due to unsafe weather conditions, vessel requirements, or circumstances beyond our control. In such cases, a full refund or rescheduling option will be offered.

5. Health, safety, and participant responsibilities

Offshore sailing involves inherent risks. All participants must disclose relevant medical conditions prior to participation and comply with all safety briefings and instructions from the skipper and crew. Southern Passages Expeditions reserves the right to refuse participation where safety may be compromised.

6. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by New Zealand law, Southern Passages Expeditions Limited's liability for any loss or damage arising from participation in our programmes or use of our website is limited to the amount paid for the relevant programme. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses.
